An American-born journalist, sub editor and researcher, Kris now calls Lyttelton, New Zealand her home.

Kris has a BA in English/Journalism and 15 years experience covering everything from science to business to fashion. After four months working as a journalist for the National Science Foundation in Antarctica, Kris returned to New Zealand and began her freelance career. She now writes for a number of national and international magazines.

In 2005, Kris was named Best New Science Writer by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology.
